It was the summer, and among all the ghost fighting and trying to live a double life, the path led him to the one place he feared since the year started. Summer School. His parents were disappointed of course and they wouldn't let him get out of it. So he set off one morning to the school, on foot because the buses were off for the summer. The day, oh so charmingly, was also the most scalding, sinister, devilish, and hottest day the summer could provide.

Even though my eyes were closed
I could see it-
The skin of my arms prickled,
sweat dripped from my brow.
It was two in the afternoon but…
